Tour

We have been touring our Greenham tent around the country. We’ve visited a range of places including Manchester Histories, The Pankhurst Centre, Goldsmiths University, Cambridge University, FiLiA, Hebden Bridge Town Hall, Gloucester History Festival, Nottingham Women’s Centre, The University of The West of England.

The tent is made from archival material, both visual and written, which we have collated during the project. It was designed by Rachael Miles, a senior lecturer at The University of The West of England.

Visitors to the tent were played a soundscape by composer Sarah Llewellyn. This piece combines a cross-section of the oral testimonies, fascinating memories, stories, poems and songs from the Greenham women with original music by Sarah. You can now listen to this here, carve out 20 mins, make your self a cuppa and enjoy.

At many of the venues, we also hosted a variety of talks, and Q and A panels, where audiences got to meet with Greenham women.

We hope to run more of these events as we continue in our efforts to spread the word about Greenham. You can keep up to date with any events we run by checking the website regularly, or by signing up to our newsletter.

If you’d like to book a talk, or tent visit, please do get in touch with us.
