Greenham Common became home to thousands of women acting in political resistance to the nuclear arms race for 19 years.

Our aim is to collate and preserve the archives from these protests at Greenham and to keep alive this extraordinary achievement.

Explore this site to hear their stories first-hand.

If you have experiences, photos or memorabilia to share, please get in touch.

The Project

Funded by The Heritage Lottery South West, we have travelled the country interviewing the women who formed the Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp. This is the largest collection of oral testimonies of the women yet collated, digitised and made available to the public.

We have interviewed 100 women. Every month, we'll release new testimonies until our full collection is available on the site.

Spread the word!

The 40th anniversary of the Greenham Common March was celebrated from August 26th to September 3rd 2021, with over 100 women participating. Explore all the fun of the March.
