Fiona gives a fascinating account of the history of Manchester’s anti-nuclear and women’s activism. They supported women in prison by creating a safe house in Hulme, Manchester where women in prison and families could stay when they came out of prison. She explains that Greenham activists were just ordinary people who were afraid of the threat of Nuclear Weapons.
