The Peace Museum explores the history and the often untold stories of peace, peacemakers, social reform and peace movements. It is unique in that it is the only accredited museum of its kind in the UK.
The renovated space will include a newly developed permanent exhibition which explores the often-untold stories of peace, peacemakers, social reform and peace movements.
Visitors will be able to see objects from the Museum’s unique collection, including banners that were originally used at Greenham Common Peace Camp and the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament’s original drawings of the now well recognized peace symbol. It will also share personal stories of people’s motivations to campaign for peace and the impacts of conflict.
The new Museum will also have temporary exhibitions, an education space, research facilities and a shop.
