Silver first heard about Greenham through the women’s liberation networks in Australia. She visited for a holiday in August 1983 and ended up staying. She lived at Green Gate which she recalls as being the safest camp away from the road and media and in the woods. She liked how the women co-operated and became family. She recalls the time before the zapping started as being the best time she ever had in her life as she was physically and mentally fit because of who she was with. Silver talks in detail about the zapping, its short and long-term effects and the impact on people trying to investigate.
Silver was interviewed by Vanessa Pini in December 2020.
