Imogen talks about being immersed in the height of second wave feminism and shares magazines and images made by collectives of the time. She says she was aware at the time that what she was taking part in at Greenham was extraordinary and shaping the women’s movement.

She was one of the women who broke into the base to dance on the silos on the morning of New Year’s Day 1982. She was arrested and put in a single cell for several days and talks about the nasty and dehumanising treatment she received particularly from female police officers. She left Greenham shortly after, going on to set up a Women’s Peace Camp in central Brighton to raise awareness of the nuclear threat.

Imogen was interviewed by Josie Argyle in March 2022.
